I Believe in Justice

What is Justice?

Justice is the notion that all people should be treated as equally deserving of consideration, and that they should be treated as they individually deserve.

Justice is never arbitrary. It is implemented deliberately and systematically.

Why is Justice Important?

Justice is noticed by its absence. The failures of justice tear apart the trust that forms the basis for society. Society is how people achieve more than any one individual can accomplish alone. It is our great multiplier of ability. Without trust in one another we must spend time and energy to protect ourselves from failures, or deliberate harm done by others.

How Do We Achieve Justice?

The law is a critical component of justice, but it is not the source of justice.
